LAST DAY OF ICT INTEGRATION

May 25, 2007 is the last day of the 5-day seminar for smart school program. Project Based Learning was discussed. A sample webquest were given as an activity to the participants to familiarize as well as to comment. Then an activity was given wherein each of the participant was given a challenge to prepare one webquest. Everybody was able to produce an output thru close supervision of the trainor. Due to the unending activities again, most of the participants encountered problems in recalling their URL AND PASSWORD when we come to the process of uploading again of our outputs. But again thru the patience of the trainors, the group again was able to complete the task.

To Ma'm ging, ma'm eden, sir leo, ma'm melba and ma'm joy, Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart, for effort you have exerted for this smart school training.

CAN WEB BLOGS ENHANCE LEARNING IN ALL YOUR SUBJECTS? HOW?

Second Day ICT Integration -WEB BLOGS

The WEB BLOGS session was more interesting and exciting. Lectures was conducted followed by a demonstration and a hands on activity. All were required to have their web blog account where to publish all the outputs in ICT Integration. The experience is unforgetable looking at the screen of the monitor where we see our work published on the web blog page. It really gives us satisfaction. After the pain , we have now the profit.

Personally, I have a negative connotation about Web Blogs. I discourage my students to indulge in this kind of activity. I thought that it was only used by celebrities for their popularity and also for commercial purposes. But after the sessions, I realized that this can be used as strategy in conducting a lesson in the class. We can post a lesson and the students will send their answer in a form of web blog using the internet. Again, It depends on the resourcefullness and creativeness of the teacher.

First Day ICT Integration-Mining the Net

First Day of our ICT integration is another day of unending activities. But inspite of all the difficulties we were able to enjoy the activities such as surfing the net and scavenger hunt. Thanks again to the creativeness of our trainors because the group really enjoyed learning something new while doing thier task.

After the activities, I have realized that with the availability of Internet in our school we can now go away with tradional method of lecture, board work and paper pencil activities. We can now avail the services of technology in discovering new knowledge in our class. The students now can discover the world at the tip of their fingers. It will be the creativity of the teachers on how they can use the web in their lesson.
